Do you service signs that you did not make?

Yes. Bob's Sign Service performs service, maintenance and repairs on signage that we did not make or install.

Do I need a permit to put up a sign?

Depending on the size, style and location of your new signage, as each sign and city/town's regulations are unique a permit may or may not be required to install your signage. Should your project include the need for permitting, Bob's will take care of all permitting needs for your project, from attending Design Review Board and Zoning and Code Enforcement meetings, we apply for and provide all documentation to secure necessary permits.

Can I service or fix my sign?

Due to signage that may contain phosphorous, mercury, and other dangerous elements Bob's Sign Service does not advise, recommend, or endorse any service or maintenance by untrained personnel.

What do you do with signs you remove?

All of our technicians are trained in breakdown and disposal of signage. At Bob's Sign Service, we believe in recycling if at all possible. If a sign is to be disposed of, our technicians will break it down and bring it to the nearest recycling facility. Should any dangerous or hazardous materials be present, depending on the type of material, they are disposed of in accordance with any laws that may apply to their disposal.

What is your concept to completion and beyond?

It all begins with a Concept - Your initial vision, idea or need.... Along with you, Bob's will work to identify your signage advertising needs from style to type, presentation and location.

Then we move along to a Site Survey- Our technicians will perform a complete survey of your site, depending on the type and location of your new signage, this includes but is not limited to measuring, taking pictures, sketching, locating electrical access points, and identifying any possible impediments. The next step is the Graphic Design- Combining the concept along with the site survey information we work to create an overall project design that meets with your approval, insuring your signage has maximum advertising impact yet compliments the property. This includes the sketching and rendering of your new signage along with the specifications for it's installation.

Moving forward Permitting may be necessary- Depending on the size, style and location of your new signage, a permit may be required to install the signage. Bob's will take care of all permitting needs for your project, from attending Design Review Board and Zoning and Code Enforcement meetings, we apply for and provide all documentation to secure necessary permits.

Next in line is the actual Fabrication- Upon approval by the necessary authorities, we move to the next level and begin the actual and physical process of building your signage to the specifications in the design that has been approved by and meets all the requirements of you, the Design Review Board and the Zoning Department. Pulling all of this together we move on to the Installation- Our technicians will then move on to the installation which may depending on the design and fabrication, include excavation, erecting of monuments or posts and finally the crowning moment... the actual signage installation.

This brings us to the final Completion- Once your new signage is completely installed, depending on the type and style of your new signage our technicians will perform tests to verify all parts are working properly. They will then take photos of the completed installation as well as will clean up the property of any items or debris from the installation, all areas are left clean and presentable.
